  • Alex Martine: after dealing with the atrocious lady i was dealing with inside the registry, came outside to see my car had been hit by a car door. I asked the secuirty guard for assistance, he told me to “get lost”. Real nice place huh?
  • Tom Mulligan: I NEED AN APPOINTMENT. I HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. I AM PREVENTED FROM MAKING THE OPPOINTMENT ONLINE. MAKING THE APPOITNMENT ONLINE IS NOT AN OPTION! WHEN I CALL I AM CONTINUOUSLY TOLD “TRY AGAIN” AND GET …
  • Meryl Reed: The current system in place works well. Faster in and out than before Covid. No more spending hours waiting. If people would just check the web site and make the appointment rather than trying to just walk in, the officers wouldn’t have to repeat themselves as nauseam.
  • Willians de Paula: I went to this RMV for the 3rd time trying to register a trailer( not a car) a trailer! And they have been giving me such a hard time. First time, I admit I didn’t have everything they needed. Second time, I made sure I had everything they …

  • Joyce Enquist: Got it all done in one visit!
  • ricardo diaz: They were unable to resolve my problem and quick to send me elsewhere. This was my 4th appt with the rmv to renew a license and cost me 200 a day lost wages thats 800 plus dollars so far for a 50 renewal. I feel im being scammed by the rmv
  • Jake Evans: I’ve lived in many places around Massachusetts throughout my life and have had to deal with at least three other RMV locations. This one is BY FAR the worst one ever. Terrible and a nightmare for locals and visitors alike, long before the coronavirus but obviously it just made everything worse.
  • J: The only positive experience about this visit is the nice gentleman helping you outside! They are rude and condescending. Will go any other location next time!
  • Eddie Cellucci: They were delayed 30 min when I arrived. Their covid protocol seems perfect. Was able to sit in my car and wait. An officer yelled out the time groups on a Mega phone.
  • Dritan Ropi: The worst experience so far in my life. I wish no one had anything to do with these employees. But I want to thank the policeman who worked outside. They were communicative and offered me free masks.
  • Tashan Forrest: It’s small. You don’t get your id the same day. But they move quickly.
  • Gary Christen: The staff is very sympathetic and helpful for the House of Bureaucracy. Still a stressful and patience-tester type of experience. Do as much on line as possible to avoid a visit.
  • Todarius X: Have been waiting on the phone for an hour just to schedule a permit renewal. Worst service ever 👎🏼
  • brian lawlor: It would be difficult to find a worse customer experience. These people made me drive 90 miles just to write my phone number down on a piece of paper so they could call me back later. After waiting several hours for my phone call they …
  • John Smith: I wish I could rate 0 stars. This is the most ridiculous place I’ve ever been to. Worst RMV in Massachusetts. But anyway, I schedule an appointment for today at 12:20 to renew my license. Not sure why I can’t do it online but whatever. I …
  • Mike Mccaffrey: Very polite, they conducted my business in a professional manner
  • Tyler Buck: Place stinks. I always know I’m going to have a terrible day when I need to visit here. Even with Covid appointment times, everyone is waiting upwards of an hour in their car to get help. I have no idea why I’m surprised. What a terribly run establishment.
  • Nick B: Organized and quickly completing your needs as long as you’re prepared.no issues.
  • john gagliardi: Just had a very good experience at the Mass Registry. I needed to renew my license and upgrade to the new mass id. The employee I met at the door was the same person who renewed my license. She was efficient and very polite. From the website suggestion I went in on a Wednesday at 9:00am. I was out by 10:00am. Thanks guys!

  • Stephen Dysert: For anybody out there coming here with an appointment: get in line early! They will still only see you as workers are available to see you. The appointment guarantees you can come inside, but you will likely be waiting in line outside for a …
  • Linda Reynolds: I don’t hate the registry. I hate that they were closed when the web site said they were open and you can’t talk to a live person when you call. I drove almost an hour only to read note on door, closed til further notice.
  • William Garcia: Worse experience EVER at every level. My appointment was at 11:20 they make you stand in line for 30 min just to tell you you have to wait in your car till they send you a text once they are ready for you… ok sure they texted me at 1:23 2 hours later… once you go inside is even worst “ get ready for the worst customer service ever.
  • Fernanda Araujo: I came here this morning with all paperwork, all I needed was one document printed in color. WHICH I went out and printed. Came back, the lady in the front made me take the line all over again instead of just giving me a number. Just for the sake of giving me a hard time while 8 months pregnant. Great. Thanks RMV Of MA.
  • JoAnn McNary: Went in to renew my license today on 1-15-2020. My experience at this RMV could not have been any easier or more pleasant. Did not wait at all & everyone was efficient & very nice. Did not encounter any of the negative in above comments.

Functions of the department of motor vehicles

DMV offices have many functions. If you are a driver (or want to be one), going to one of these offices will be something you will have to do at some point in your life.

For example, one of the most popular functions is to renew your driver’s license. It’s a simple procedure, where you may be asked to take a health test to make sure you are fully fit to drive. It is also a place where people go to get their license. To do so, they will have to pass a theoretical and practical test.

In case you buy a vehicle, you will have to go to register it in your name. This procedure is also done if there is a purchase between individuals, that is, if someone sells their vehicle and you buy it, you will have to go and pay a small fee.

License plates must also be handled here. Whether it is to give you a permanent license plate or a temporary tag, you should ask for information if you buy a car or motorcycle.

In general, DMV offices are designed to handle everything that has to do with motor vehicle paperwork. There are a multitude of offices in Yarmouth where you can carry out all the formalities you need. In addition, in South Yarmouth you can request an appointment online if necessary, as well as pay fees and other expenses without having to go anywhere.

The Department of Motor Vehicles is located throughout the United States. The people who work there will be able to answer your questions or suggestions in case you have any problems, and surely in a very short time you can have everything you need to drive safely and within the law.
